# User vs Author

This is the main change and the most important change.

### 1. add manually user author field

Important:

* write access only for main admin or admins or new admin class, not members (otherwise they will be able to change their author account)

### 2. User fields added by the plugin

&#x20;Other user fields are added by plugin installation:

Those fields are added by the plugin and they can be removed by plugin uninstallation.&#x20;

Editable by members class means that user can change them.&#x20;

Those fields fully replace most of the original authorprefs table and functionality.&#x20;

### 3. Other user fields

e107 user extended fields are really advanced, you can add their own predefined fields or add your own.
